DO NOT BUY WITHOUT READING THIS FIRST UPDATE: You need to activate this phone FIRST before you take it out of the States by putting in a SIM card and speaking for 5 minutes on the phone. If you do not do this the phone will tell you that it is a locked phone. I purchased this phone, took it overseas and it wouldn’t work. After numerous calls to Amazon (who offered to take it back), Samsung (who wouldn’t help me), and Electrocell via email (who made a suggestion that worked), the problem was resolved.
