The phone is “unlocked”. It came with the T-Mobile logo on the back, but I use ATT. I thought this would not be a problem, but the technical advisor at ATT indicated that it may have been unlocked improperly in China. I am preparing to send it back for a replacement, because I really do like the quality of the phone. I just hope…

Great phone. High computing power and usable interface. But, you may have communication problems with carriers other than AT&T. I have switched to LG G3 from Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, which is one of the early generations of smartphones. In general, I loved the LG G3 phone.
